Put Your Dreams In Motion

I’m the queen of excuses.Seriously.
I have an excuse for each and everything that happens or doesn’t happen.
If I’m late,I have an excuse.
If I burn the food, again…you bet I have an excuse.
If I don’t finish writing that blog article on time,I have the perfect excuse.
I was going through a bunch of pictures in my digital camera–I have 475 on there that still need to be printed out and organised into albums but you know I’ve been so busy with that offline job I took 3 months ago….anyway,I found this picture I took a while back at a rest stop near the Alabama-Georgia line…the banner simply says: Put Your Dreams In Motion.
Simple but very powerful words.
A dare actually.
Put Your Dreams In Motion
Stop making excuses.

You need life insurance

I sleep well at night.
I drive on some of the busiest interstates in the U.S on a daily basis.I don’t smoke but each day I’m exposed to second hand smoke and all sorts of health hazards.I have an adorable three year old and like all the parents in the world,I should worry what will happen to him should I die unexpectedly, but I don’t.Why,you ask?Because just recently I made the best investment of my life when I took out a term life insurance policy on myself. So,see…I sleep well at night.

I didn’t really understand the importance of life insurance until the day an insurance agent sat me down and explained the benefits of having life insurance. Its a fact,at some point we are all going to die and while thats not a really pleasant thought,I’m comforted by the knowledge that when my time comes,my loved ones will be taken of.They don’t have to worry about burial costs or how to survive after my death. My life insurance policy has got all that covered. And the surprising thing is my insurance policy costs me less than $20 per month!I shopped around and got various insurance quotes from various companies until I found the one that suited my needs.

The insurance agent was nice enough to give me tips on how to lower my insurance premiums. We sat down and calculated exactly how much money my family would need to survive…this helped me decide how much coverage I needed.I’m in perfect health and I don’t drink or smoke…that helped a great deal. If,you’re a smoker,my best advice would be to quit both for your health and to get a lower premium but in case you don’t want to quit, most insurance companies now offer cheap smoker insurance rates.

Having a life insurance policy is an absolute must for everyone especially if you have dependents. The peace of mind that comes with knowing your loved ones will be taken care of once you’re gone is priceless.Life insurance is worth every penny you spend on the premiums and like me,you’ll get to sleep well at night.

I found George!

I didn’t know about this project until I came across this bill and I think the idea is pretty cool…different bills are being tracked in both Canada and the US and I just got one of the bills from my bank…here it is.I went to the website and entered the serial number and according to the site….

“This bill has travelled 1,597 Miles in 3 Yrs, 151 Days, 19 Hrs, 18 Mins at an average of 1.3 Miles per day.
It is now 1,597 Miles from its starting location.”

The last person who also happens to be the person who entered it into the website initially, got it from an ATM all the way in Gilbert, AZ in 2004 and it somehow found its way to Georgia.I used it to pay the dude who mowed my lawn…wonder where its going to end up next.

where’s george

I’ve made no secret of the fact that I love and thoroughly enjoy postsecret.com.Frank is a genius for starting the postsecret project and keeping it going for this long. Its amazing the amount of money Frank has raised through this postsecret project for various charities and causes.I wish we had data on just how many people’s lives have been changed because of this one project…all I know for a fact is people’s lives have been changed and people continue to flock in rather impressive numbers to listen to Frank speak at his numerous speaking engagements.I attended one of his speaking and book signing gigs in Atlanta this year and I can say it was worth every second. There was barely any room as every inch was occupied by people who had flown in or driven in from different states and cities just to listen to Frank and get their books signed.

Anyway, christmas is almost here…I spotted this post card on postsecret.com and couldn’t help but laugh out loud…have YOU been naughty or nice?Have a merry christmas everyone:)
