make the right choice


I’m in the middle of a major life change.
Sometimes I have good days.
Sometimes I have bad days.
Some days I doubt myself.
Some days I’m scared out of my mind.
Some days I get extremely overwhelmed by this,that and the other.
I chose to go down this road.It wasn’t an easy decision but its one I had to make for my happiness and peace of mind.
I came to a crossroad and had to choose between living an average life or a memorable life.
I chose a memorable life.
I don’t regret my decision to go down this road.
Seeing this picture reinforces my belief in the fact that sometimes you have to step out in faith and walk out of your comfort zone and straight into the unknown.
Things will be tough.
You will have frustrating days.
You will have days where everything that can possibly go wrong will go wrong.
You will cry.
You will curse.
You will laugh.
You will be fine.

Congrats to Egypt on retaining the African Cup Of Nations crown

Anyone who knows me knows I am a super huge soccer fan (Liverpool die hard fan,thank you very much).
Naturally I’ve been following the African Cup Of Nations and I’m thrilled that Egypt won–ofcourse it was rather obvious they’d win…..Egypt happens to have one of the best soccer teams period.
Mohamed Aboutraika did an awesome job of scoring the only goal in the match between Egypt and Cameroon.
I have to admit though that this has been one of the most boring African Cup Of Nations in my opinion..most of the matches were a drag for me but still,its always fun to watch the whole continent unite in our love for the game!
You know what would make me truly happy?If Egypt or any other African country played well enough and actually made it into the World Cup finals…better yet,I hope I someday get to see an African country actually win the world cup–now that will be something truly worth yelling and blogging about.

Congratulations Egypt on winning the 2008 African Cup Of Nations.

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday.
Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.
And, there on television, she said it was “exciting.”
Regarding body changes, she said there were many,occurring every day…like her breasts.
They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.
The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Maya Angelou said these:

NewsTin.
What kind of name is that anyway?
What does it mean?
Honestly,I have no clue.All I know is that NewsTin.com rocks my world.
See,I’m a news junkie.I’m especially addicted to entertainment news.
I wake up every morning and scan through the headlines while watching the morning news and I have to admit it gets a bit overwhelming having to visit 1000 sites just to see whats happening in the world…
…and thats where NewsTin comes in.
NewsTin saves me time by gathering all the news from various news sites on one site.
So instead of me typing in a gazillion different urls to get my daily dose of news headlines,I simply visit the NewsTin home page and voila,I’m up to date with whats happening in the world.
If I want to keep up with the cool kids,I simply head over to the entertainment section and in seconds I know who is dating who,who is in rehab,who is being sued for paternity,who is pregnant,which celebrity just got arrested,who broke up with who and all the latest celeb gossip.
So three cheers for NewsTin for being such a wonderful timesaver!

* No one can influence His opinion of me

* He can’t “disown” me because I am a part of Him

This is something to think about when negative people are doing their best to rain on your parade.
So remember this story the next time someone who knows nothing and cares less tries to make your life miserable.

A woman was at her hairdresser’s getting her hair styled for a trip to Rome with her husband.

She mentioned the trip to the hairdresser, who responded, “Rome?

Why would anyone want to go there? It’s crowded and dirty. You’re crazy to go to Rome. So, how are you getting there?”

“We’re taking Continental,” was the reply, “We got a great rate!”

“Continental?” exclaimed the hairdresser. “That’s a terrible airline.

Their planes are old, their flight attendants are ugly, and they’re always late. So, where are you staying in Rome?”

“We’ll be at this exclusive little place over on Rome’s Tiber River called Teste.”

“Don’t go any further. I know that place. Everybody thinks it’s gonna be something special and exclusive, but it’s really a dump, the worst Hotel in the city! The rooms are small, the service is surly, and they’re overpriced. So, whatcha’ doing when you get there?”

“We’re going to go to see the Vatican and we hope to see the Pope.”

“That’s rich,” laughed the hairdresser, “You and a million other people trying to see him. He’ll look the size of an ant. Boy, good luck On this lousy trip of yours. You’re going to need it.”

A month later, the woman again came in for a hairdo. The hairdresser asked her about her trip to Rome.

“It was wonderful,” explained the woman, “not only were we on time in one of Continental’s brand new planes, but it was overbooked and they Bumped us up to first class. The food and wine were wonderful, and I had a handsome 28-year-old steward who waited on me hand and foot.”

“And the hotel was great! They’d just finished a $5 million remodeling job and now it’s a jewel, the finest hotel in the city. They, too, Were overbooked, so they apologized and gave us their owner’s suite at no extra charge!”

“Well,” muttered the hairdresser, “that’s all well and good, but I know you didn’t get to see the Pope.”

“Actually, we were quite Blessed, because as we toured the Vatican , a Swiss Guard tapped me on the shoulder, and explained that the Pope likes To meet some of the visitors, and if I’d be so kind as to step into his private room and wait, the Pope would personally greet me.”

“Sure enough, five minutes later, the Pope walked through the door and shook my hand! I knelt down and he spoke a few words to me.”

“Oh really! What’d he say?”

He said, “Where’d you get the shitty hairdo?”
