Celebrities just don’t get it…

Blogged under This and That by mimi on Thursday 18 September 2008 at 5:03 pm

I’m amazed at just how many celebrities don’t get that we’re not interested in their political views.

I personally don’t care if you’re “Mr.20 million dollars per picture”,keep your political views to yourself. If you do choose to get involved in politics, let it be to educate people at the process and how they can get involved.I don’t want to hear which candidate you’re endorsing and I certainly don’t want to hear you bashing the opposing candidate…I have people in my regular life doing enough of that thank you very much.So dear celebrities, just keep your mouths shut, enjoy your huge pay cheques and do what you’re (sometimes) good at which is entertaining us!

Drill baby,drill

The USA election is getting ridiculous.
I have no clue where the candidates stand on most issues because well,no one is asking them the tough “real” questions about stuff and they are too busy dissing each other and dodging the few questions that are thrown their way.So now I’m just seated back watching this circus unfold.
And if you’re like me,you’re seated back too watching and praying that November gets here early so this madness can be over with.Until november gets here, here’s something I found while reading some random blog online…

Live it up!

Blogged under This and That by mimi on Saturday 13 September 2008 at 9:51 pm

Today is my birthday and wow,its been a wild crazy year.
Alot of stuff has gone down..literally and otherwise and I have had to battle some major demons and I’m scarred but I’m still standing and at the end of the day thats all that matters.
I’m excited about this birthday because for the first time in a long time I can truly say I am happy.
I’m in a good place emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.
I can’t wait for the surprises life has in store for me for my next year here but until then I’m going to live it up!

Speaking of free stuff…did you know that if you live in a “major” city like Atlanta,GA or Raleigh,NC you can save money by getting free movie passes to advance movie screenings?Seriously, studios will give you passes to see movies before they are released to the general public..you just have to know where to look;).And if you don’t live in whats considered a “major” city, you can win passes from your local radio and TV stations..just keep watching or listening and have that hand on the phone ready to dial in!

So far this month I have seen (for FREE):

-Tropic Thunder
-The Lucky Ones
-Igor
-Righteous Kill

I’m on a Hanes roll and I aint complaining. This time around they sent me a rather comfy hipster. In case you’re not aware,Hanes has this really neat site called bewedgiefree.com and they currently have a promotion called “Wedgie-Free Wednesday” were they send out free Hanes panties to the first 500 people to request panties every wednesday so what are you waiting for?Jump on the wagon and get you some and if you’re not one of the lucky 500,head down to your local Walmart or Target or one of the other stores that carry Hanes products and pick you up some.Their products are really worth every penny.

When I grow up,I want to be Cindy McCain

Blogged under This and That by mimi on Friday 5 September 2008 at 11:58 pm

According to the Vanity Fair magazine website one of Cindy McCain’s outfits–the one she wore on the night she appeared on stage with Laura Bush at the Republican 2008 convention costs a whopping $300,000.Thats more than the mortgage I had on my old house. Here’s how Vanity Fair breaks it all down:

Oscar de la Renta dress: $3,000
Chanel J12 White Ceramic Watch: $4,500
Three-carat diamond earrings: $280,000
Four-strand pearl necklace: $11,000–$25,000
Shoes, designer unknown: $600
Total: Between $299,100 and $313,100

This is the dress in question:
