I’m not talking about Michael Phelps’ drawers!
I’m talking about the gas prices.I took the picture below on Oct 15th,2008.
Prior to that gas was like $4.05 a gallon and Atlanta was in the midst of a really frustrating gas shortage.
As I type this,gas is just $1.79!Unbelivable but I’m not complaining.
I wonder if it’ll go down to maybe just 50 cents a gallon.Now that would be super cool but I know I’m dreaming so for now I’m grateful I’m able to fill up my tank with just $15.
My latest internet addiction is a site called Spotwinner.
The concept of the site is simple…you watch ads,collect “spotcash” and then redeem that spotcash for gift certificates.Each ad you watch also earns you an entry into that day’s sweeptakes.Spotwinner is always giving away super cool prizes and I was lucky enough to win a camcorder in one of their sweepstakes.
So I was watching Obama on telly and I couldn’t help but think “this man is crazy”.
And I’m not talking about his political beliefs.
I’m talking about his desire to be president of a country thats always on high alert,is in a huge financial mess and is involved in a war all the way in Iraq.
Who in their right mind would want such a job?Seriously.
And the job doesn’t even pay that well.
I don’t know why anyone would willingly sign up for this gig…maybe for the benefits?hmmm.
I do know this for sure..if you came up to me and offered me a high stress job that subjected me to hatred from all kinds of small minded lunatics,I’d reach across the table and bitchslap you so hard across the face smile and politely say,”thanks but no thanks”.
And yet Obama accepted the presidential gig and manages to remain as cool as a cucumber while the rest of the country panics over this,that and the other.
I want whatever it is Obama is sipping on….
I’m a huge,huge fan of the Dixie Chicks and I was just listening to their song “Not Ready To Make Nice” when it suddenly occurred to me that I haven’t heard anything about them in a minute.They are very talented chicks and it sucks that the country music community treated them the way they did over the whole Iraq mess.I wish they would go back in the studio and release some more super rockin’ music because thats what the Dixie Chicks do!
