Speaking of free stuff…did you know that if you live in a “major” city like Atlanta,GA or Raleigh,NC you can save money by getting free movie passes to advance movie screenings?Seriously,studios will give you passes to see movies before they are released to the general public..you just have to know where to look;).And if you don’t live in whats considered a “major” city,you can win passes from your local radio and TV stations..just keep watching or listening and have that hand on the phone ready to dial in!

I won advance screening passes from FHM magazine to see Tropic Thunder and I wasn’t going to go because well,it looked like a silly movie but I’m glad I went.I laughed so hard I actually cried.
If by now you haven’t seen the movie,you really need to put it on your must see list.Yes its silly but you will laugh.You will laugh really hard.If you need a reason to go see the movie,go see it because of this guy.He literally steals the spotlight from everyone.He is funny.He is very funny.He is very,very,very funny in Tropic Thunder.

A good friend of mine and I were discussing ways to save money this morning and I suggested switching to a scooter instead of driving a car.I googled scooters trying to see what the latest “hottest” scooter model is and I ended up on some site with a subway/Get Smart instant win banner.Long story short,I clicked on the banner and played their instant win and what do you know?I won 2 free bags of chips and a free movie ticket to see Get Smart.

I’ve already seen Get Smart…I watched it because the Rock aka Dwayne Johnson is in it and well,he’s handsome!Plus its a goofy,truly funny movie — the perfect way to relax and de-stress after a rather hectic work week.Once my ticket gets here,I’ll definitely go see the movie again.Thanks subway.

Mr.Magorium Keychain and Poster

I entered the Mr.Magorium’s Wonder Emporium contest on countingdown.com and on 12/10/07,I got an email informing me I had won one of the runner up prizes…the Official Movie Poster and Sock Monkey Key Chain.Its nothing big but a win is a win and I’m certainly not going to turn it down.The studio sent me the poster and keychain and my son has already claimed both as his..ahh the joys of parenthood.

This is what the keychain looks like..freaky but it makes my little dude laugh!
