Totally crushing on Due West

Monday, October 18th, 2010

I haven’t been this excited about a country act -or a music act – in a long, long time but this weekend I “discovered” Due West while at the GA national fair and let me tell you guys something,I’m hooked.I’ve fallen head over feet (not even heels) in love and lust with these three guys.
They are super talented.
They are gorgeous to look at.
They play guitar like it’s going out of style.
Due West is amazing.
How come I had never heard of them until the fair?Oh well, thats not even important..I’m totally crushing on these guys and I’ve been listening to their tunes non stop!!

I actually went on my first date with a sweet guy to the fair on Sunday and he was nice enough to sit through the entire Due West set with me despite the fact that he cannot stand country music and just this morning he texted me saying he actually enjoyed Due West’s performance and not just that but he was listening to them right when he sent me the text!Look at that, they managed to get him to listen to country!!BTW,my date took that picture of Due West performing above.

Will things out with the new guy…who knows? It’s too early to tell but I know for sure my relationship with Due West is just starting and as long as they keep releasing good music,I’m in this relationship for the long haul and I’ll keep supporting them!!

Here’s the band performing my favorite song – “Tell Her” (they have so many awesome songs but that right there is my absolute favorite!)

Everyone please, please call your local country stations and request Due West music…these guys are awesome, trust me!!

The Boy Who Changed The World

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

Can one boy change the world?
Why ofcourse he can,if you believe the wonderful book by Andy Andrews aptly titled The Boy Who Changed the World

This is a beautiful children’s book with clear illustrations and a story thats very easy to follow.
It reminded me of the days back when children’s books actually had a moral at the end of the story and I know you will be very happy with the lesson at the end of this story.
Don’t be surprised if this book quickly becomes your child’s favorite and you have to read it to them 20 times each day before bed…and trust me,that won’t necessarily be a bad thing because it means they get to hear the positive lesson in this tale 20 times each single day!

My wish for you

Monday, September 20th, 2010

-Where there is pain, I wish you peace and mercy.
-Where there is self-doubting, I wish you a renewed confidence in your ability to work through it.
-Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I wish you understanding, patience, and renewed strength.
-Where there is fear, I wish you love, and courage.

Welcome To Atlanta

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Here’s a view of Atlanta during the early stages of the evening rush hour.
I’m passionately in lust with this city, even with all the crime and traffic.
I feel so at home in Atlanta, like for the first time in my life I’m in the right place at the right time…ofcourse this could all change tomorrow given how fast I change my mind about stuff but for now, this crazy southern city is home!

Monday, August 30th, 2010

I’m single and dating and this card swiped from postsecret.com ages ago struck a chord with me…
Sometimes a girl just needs a man to hold her hand.Seriously.
Shocking.I know,but very true.

Just an FYI for you today:

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

so you better get to being all optimistic, you’ve got people to annoy;)
