For as long as I can remember my mother has had a television in her office. It doesn’t seem to affect her productivity one bit and her clients seem to love catching up on world events and even their latest soap operas while they wait for her to attend to them. The older I get the more I seem to gravitate toward places of employment that have television sets in the work place. I think they make both workers and clients a tad more relaxed and they always provide excellent ice breakers. Imagine being stuck in an office lobby waiting for the receptionist to show you into an office for a private meeting, instead of awkwardly staring at each other while you wait, you can turn your attention to the television quietly playing in the background and bond over whatever issue is being discussed on the telly. Now that would make you really grateful for the genius behind the direct TV for lobby idea, wouldn’t it?

In my opinion, every business should consider setting up a television in the office and with the satellite options available today, it’s not as hard as it sounds. Hospitals get two big thumbs up for leading the way in using television as a means of distracting patients from their pain. Direct TV for hospitals provides a wide range of programs that hospitals can choose from that are family friendly. You know how annoyingly long the lines in the waiting rooms are but you won’t believe how fast the time passes when you are too engrossed in a TV show.

Before anyone panics and dials 911..NO..I am not planning on having a sex change and becoming a man.
I love being a woman too much
But I’m raising a son so A Guy’s Guide to Life: How to Become a Man in 224 Pages or Less is a book I was definitely interested in reading so I could get some insight into my little boy’s mind as he approaches teenhood and eventually manhood.

I love the catchy title and the conversational tone of the book.
I love how the author isn’t preaching but it always feels like he’s seated right next to you having a heart-to-heart about various subjects that pertain to making the transition into a man.
Will you as a reader turn into a man after 224 pages?No.
Will you have a deeper understanding of how the male mind works sometimes?Sure.
A Guy’s Guide to Life: How to Become a Man in 224 Pages or Less is a well written book I would recommend for ALL parents with boys and for ALL boys looking for direction as they tackle this whole manhood issue.
Growing up can be a tad overwhelming so consider this book your fantastic,positive cheat sheet!

Hooked On McDonald’s Smoothies

Forgive me Father for I have sinned.
Today I chose McDonald’s Smoothies and a comfy VIP Skybox seat with a hearty breakfast over church.
I want to lie to you and say I’m sorry and I regret my choice but I know better than to lie to the Almighty, all knowing One.

I’m hooked Father,those McDonald’s smoothies are just too delicious.
You just can’t have one and it’s impossible to decide which flavor is the best…wild cherry or strawberry banana?
My taste bud jury is deadlocked but thankfully I can alternate between the two flavors whenever I feel like it because @McDonaldATL just hooked me up with free smoothies for an entire year!

Now if only that smoothie hook up came with a free gym membership!!
