I was browsing a forum and I came across this quote:
If I could sit on the porch with God, the first thing I would do is thank him for you
I don’t know why I felt compelled to save that quote but looking back on it now I suddenly realised,if I could sit on the porch with God,the first thing I would do is probably ask him if I was dreaming or dead and then I would want to touch him to make sure he’s real and then I’d probably ask about my grandmother because I do miss her a whole lot and I would definitely want an update on her.Then I would thank God for you,yes you the person reading this…my family,my friends.
I realise how truly blessed I am because I have you in my life.I realise how truly happy you make me even when we dont always see eye to eye on alot of different issues.I appreciate how you understand when I don’t keep in touch for days on end and you still love me anyway and never give up on me.I appreciate your friendship and I know I dont say it enough.I appreciate you having my back.I appreciate the emails and phone calls when things are bad,when things are good or “just to say hi”.I appreciate you.So if I could sit on the porch with God,I’d be lying if I said I’d thank him for you first…..no,the first thing I would do is touch him to make sure he’s real but somewhere along the way,I would most definitely thank him for you because I am truly blessed to have you in my life.Thank you for being my friend (yes,you the person reading this!)
