I have no clue who John is but I like his “rules of life” so much that I’m dedicating an entire post to them.He does have some nice gems in there somewhere and I hope you find one or 2 that appeal to you and give you a new perspective on life ….enjoy John’s rules of life….

-You can’t save the world so save yourself and help others when you can

-Take pride in your work.Want to do the best job possible

-You will make mistakes.Don’t dwell on them.Learn from them

-Do not accept or settle for second best.Want the best and strive for it

-You can’t make people change. They have to want to change, then change themselves

-Things are not always as they appear or as they are represented to you.Trust your instincts but keep an open mind.

-People are products of their heredity and environment.Their personality is influenced by past experiences and future goals and objectives

-Welcome honesty in a person but do not expect it

-Don’t confuse your pride with your principles.Don’t let your pride influence decisions that you make in life.

-Accept gestures of friendship but don’t demand or except them

-Never assume you know what someone is thinking or what someone means in words or actions. If you are unsure, ask

-Do not live in the past or anticipate the future.Live in the present but do not live day to day

-Goodness always prevails over evil but it will prevail in its own time not yours and may not suit your personal needs

-Adults do know the difference between right and wrong.Sometimes they choose wrong

-Never judge another person’s actions or decisions. You have no idea what motivated them to take that action or make that decision

-You can change your principles but do not compromise them for another

-Reality is a state of mind,to a degree. The meaning of what you say is determined solely by the way another person interprets it and their notions and perceptions which are sometimes already a standard in their mind before you speak
