Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
A sharp tongue can cut your own throat.
If you want your dreams to come true, you mustn’t oversleep.
Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important.
The best vitamin for making friends….. B1.
The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.
The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge..
One thing you can give and still keep…is your word.
You lie the loudest when you lie to yourself.
If you lack the courage to start, you have already finished.
One thing you can’t recycle is wasted time.
Ideas won’t work unless ‘you’ do.
Your mind is like a parachute……it functions only when open.
The 10 commandments are not a multiple choice.
The pursuit of happiness is the chase of a lifetime!
It is never too late to become what you might have been.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the one’s who don’t.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you might not get them back.
Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and problems that we may not even notice that we’ve let them fly away.
Sometimes we are so caught up in who’s right and who’s wrong that we forget what’s right and wrong.
On an inspirational roll
January 31st, 2010I really love this
January 29th, 2010‘To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.’ When God takes something from your grasp, He’s not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence… ‘The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you if you know him as Lord………….
There comes a point in your life when you realize:
Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won’t anymore…
And who always will.
So, don’t worry about people from your past,
there’s a reason why they didn’t make it to your future.
One Flaw In Women
January 27th, 2010Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don’t take “no” for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colours.
They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what
makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
Do you believe this?
January 25th, 2010God doesn’t give you the people you want,
He gives you the people you NEED….
To help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you into the person you were meant to be.
Cleaning House
January 24th, 2010Last Week I threw out worrying, it was getting old and in the way.
It kept me from being me; I couldn’t do things God’s way.
I threw out a book on MY PAST
(Didn’t have time to read it anyway).
Replaced it with NEW GOALS, started reading it today.
I threw out hate and bad memories,
(Remember how I treasured them so)?
Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too, threw out the one from long ago.
Brought in some new books too, called I CAN, I WILL, and I MUST.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.
WOW, you should’ve seen the dust.
I ran across an OLD FRIEND, I hadn’t talked to in a while.
His name is GOD the Father, and I really like His style.
He helped me to do some cleaning and added some things Himself.
Like PRAYER, HOPE, FAITH and LOVE,
Yes… I placed them right on the shelf.
I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door..
I FOUND IT- it’s called PEACE.. Nothing gets me down anymore.
Yes, I’ve got my house looking nice.
Looks good around the place.
For things like Worry and Trouble there just isn’t any space.
It’s good to do a little house cleaning,
Get rid of the things on the shelf.
It sure makes things brighter; maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF..
BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!!
May the Lord open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that
you will not have room enough to receive it all.
May the Lord bless you exceedingly abundantly above all you could ever
hope for.
Take 60 seconds & Bless someone!
The Sweet By and By
January 5th, 2010When I heard country music superstar Sara Evans had written a book,I rolled my eyes – seriously.I’m just being honest here.I know she’s an amazing singer but I didn’t think she could write.I’m glad to report back to you that not only can she write but The Sweet By and By,her collaboration with Rachel Hauck is a surprisingly entertaining page turner.
The book has a solid theme and it is well written.I can say for certain its one of those books you will read in one sitting because once you start, you wont want to put it down until the very last page. Will the book win any literature awards? No…and I doubt thats what Sara Evans was aiming for when she worked on The Sweet By and By but for a first time author,Sara Evans did a really good job and hopefully this is just the beginning of many more great stories to come.
Obstacles Welcome
December 29th, 2009If there is one thing I learned from reading Ralph De la Vega’s Obstacles Welcome: How to Turn Adversity into Advantage in Business and in Life, its the fact that sacrifice is a necessity in order for one to achieve any type of success.
To achieve true greatness, one must combine sacrifice and a tightly focused vision.Ralph De la Vega emphasizes the importance of having a plan and discipline to follow through with the said plan.Let’s face it,most of us are excellent at making plans. Execution however is a whole different beast mainly because following through means encountering obstacles and frankly most of us would much rather avoid obstacles than deal with them head on.
This is where Obstacles Welcome comes in.Ralph De la Vega encourages us to look for the opportunities in each obstacles as oppossed to just throwing up our hands in defeat.
Obstacles Welcome is a well written book that wont make a you a million bucks richer (nor does it promise too by the way) but it will certainly change the way you view and deal with obstacles.
